The Great Dr. Jose Rizal

â€Å"It is a pointless life that isn't blessed to an extraordinary perfect. It resembles a stone squandered on the field without turning into a piece of any building. â€Å" Jose Rizal, a man with such a large number of achievements, gives we all motivation to place persistence and difficult work in all the things we do. I am flabbergasted that despite the fact that Rizal’s life has become kind of a progression of sad occasions, he despite everything made it yield a positive and good result for his country and comrades. While he was in a state of banishment, he didn’t mind the way that he was sent to Dapitan to live like a detainee but he despite everything figured out how to turn out to be plentifully productive with differed accomplishments for he rehearsed medication, sought after logical investigations, proceeded with his masterful and artistic works, broadened his insight into dialects, built up a school for young men, advanced network improvement ventures, occupied with cultivating and business and numerous others. In spite of his numerous exercises, he kept a broad correspondence with his darling family, family members, individual reformists, and his companions who were prominent researchers and researchers of Europe. It is just when it was referenced in the narrative have I understood that Rizal never left the nation to his own motivation and favorable position, however to broaden considerably more noteworthy his penance for the Filipinos. Rizal really was an individual for his compatriots, he genuinely was a loyalist and nationalistic for he never needed to see his individual comrades being persecuted and being misused - what made Jose Rizal stand apart of the others as a saint to a country. He genuinely was a man of activity, he didn't just investigate the individuals nor simply guide individuals, and he helped them in their regular work. Rizal was clever but then modest. He generally put his kinsmen first before him also he never neglected to communicate how he cherished so much his family and the individuals he held near his heart through his letters to them all through. These are trustworthy and all that could possibly be needed explanations behind me to legitimize that Rizal is our legend, our motivation and our exercise of the past that simply like him, we ought to likewise endeavor hard to live decently and take care of business for our nation.

European Union law is having an equivalent power with any EU’s Member State law. For usage of the EU law in national law, the specialists will be considered capable in every single Member State and such authorities should guarantee conventional citizen’s benefits under these laws. Analysis of the Setting in Endgame - Literature Essay Samples

The setting of Endgame is characteristic of a Beckett play; a dà ©cor reduced to the barest minimum. A naked stage, both a poetic symbol and a parody of traditional theater, with only two dust bins, a chair, and a backward painting to look at. High up on the walls we get an idea of the rest of Becketts blank universe through to small windows looking out. On these boards of disaster the characters play out their derisory role. (Fletcher, 48)Traditional theater attempts to put a slice of life out onto the stage for the audiences enjoyment. The general idea is to fool the audience into thinking that they are looking at something that they have seen before. For example, a roach infested apartment or even a relatively simple office scene helps one relate to the characters before they speak. We know what to expect because we are familiar with the plight of the starving artist with his dinky little flat and we already expect the businessman to be under a great deal of stress. Beckett sets his text in a place weve never been, and God willing, a place that will never exist: a bunker of sorts, that resembles the inside of a skull with its neuroses bickering inside. When the curtain opens on a place like that, the only thing you can do is start preparing yourself for what could possibly dwell in such a setting. The gap between the world we live in and the one before us has been established before any of the characters open their mouths and it up to us as an audience to figure out where we are. As we find out, slowly but surely, we are at the end of the world. Comedian Lewis Black claims he saw the end of the world in Texas when he found a street with a Starbucks directly across from another Starbucks, but Beckett made the end of the world the type of place where the question, what time is it? evokes the answer, The same as usual. The action in this play, if one could call it that, is a Beckettian standard of people moving about the stage and talking for the sole purpose of quelling boredom. They talk and talk anticipating the arrival of death, and like Godot, the sweet release of death never comes (except for Nell who is the only one to ask the direct question, Why this farce everyday?). The only thing between these wretched characters and death is the mindless tedium of their lives. Clov knows as well as anyone else that there is nothing to see out on the horizon, but going to get the ladder, climbing up and down, and even dropping his spyglass on purpose helps to while away the hours of the day. What other possible reason other than warding off insanity would there be for telling the same joke over and over again. Not to mention recalling fondly the first time the joke was told before telling it. The Beckettian hero is a sort of clown who uses words and performs gestures that are intended to be amusing, in order to pass the time. But unlike a real clown, he seeks not to amuse others, but to cheat his own boredom; he is acting, but for himself. (Fle tcher, 58) This is the type of world where a slow-moving half-starved man pushing a crippled old mans chair around in a circle is considered the action sequence. They have the same conversations over and over again, they muse about being forgotten by nature. It would seem that nature would have no part in the meaninglessness on stage, but they are confronted with the reality of nature continuing to age their bodies. Despite the absence of meaning they proceed with their monotonous lives. To offer explanation of this behavior Hamm says, We do what we can, and Clov replies simply, We shouldnt. Soon after, seemingly out of nowhere, Hamm asks in anguish, Whats happening, whats happening? Clov refers to natures persistence: Something is taking its course. Clov then exits to the kitchen where he has maid plans to stare at the wall.As if the bare stage was not enough to indicate that we are not witnessing real life, Clov looks to the auditorium and mentions seeing the audience. A multitude in transportsof joy. In that moment, Beckett tears down the fourth wall and a great deal of convention along with it. The suspension of disbelief requires that the audience give up their common sense to believe that they have been transported to another place and time. The audience pretends to be wherever the author has told them that they are and so the drama can unfold. When Clov spies the audience something special happens. This is no longer a play about four characters in a bunker, living their lives, waiting for the whole thing to take its course. Now it is a play about four actors, who are playing four characters in front of an audience. This is significant because in that instant Beckett achieves the level of absurdity for which he is worshiped by the performance artists of today. A play about people watching people wait to die, how absurd!Beckett created a world that had yet to exist. It was a world that was on a stage but it was not familiar to the theatergoers of the fifti es. Beckett wrote plays that were aware that they were plays and in a way that seemed to bring his plays to life, however if they are indeed living, they are not all that animated. It makes one wonder about the nature of the play if the characters are aware that we are watching them. It is noted in the play that outside the shelter is death, since Clov needed a spyglass to see us, then we are most likely outside the shelter. Samuel Beckett was not a man to hand out false hopes. School Ties The Code Of Honor Essay Example For Students

School Ties The Code Of Honor Essay The Code of HonorHonesty, respect, accountability, these are all words the honor code stands by, its a foundation on which academic integrity abides, and a line drawn between whats right and wrong. The honor code in the movie School Ties meant more than just a signature one signed, it was a living entity, a guideline the school swore by, and those that broke the code met with the consequences. ?It is the students responsibility, not the teachers, to uphold St. Matthews honor code,? said the headmaster as he addressed the students gathered in the chapel for mass at St. Matthews. The headmaster understood the relevance of the code, and that the power was vested in the students to make it work for the entire student body. Another example of the honor code was when the history teacher addressed the class by asking the students to discuss among themselves who cheated on the recent test. He went on to strongly urged the class that overlooking the incident would be robbing them of the honor code. At the end of the movie the main character, David Green, takes the fall for Charles Dillon, the student who cheated. However, the headmaster finds out the truth from the prefect, Rip, and Dillon is expelled from school. As David leaves the headmasters office, the teacher reminds him, ?The honor code is a living thing, it cant live in a vacuum.? St. Matthews knew how to fill the vacuum, b ut it was the students that lived it. A life not set by rules or regulations, but an internal drumbeat, marching to the beat of its own, honesty. I have sincere doubts about the usefulness and the meaningfulness of the honor code, because addressing cheating requires more than just the honor code alone. Cheating is a problem in part because of the enormous pressure put on students by a schools high-strung atmosphere to achieve. I think students feel that in order to survive, they must take advantage of the gray areas of being honest, often stretching the limits as to cheating and using someone elses work. Therefore, any honor code implemented in such an environment will result in students changing cheating techniques to work around the code. I feel the best way to deal with this problem is to make students fully aware that cheating is unprofitable and nothing good come of it. Ultimately, the honor code works because it is fully enforced by the students themselves. As Mencken once said, For every complex problem there is a simple solution and it is wrong. Solving the issue of dishonesty requires far more than just an honor cod e alone.
